Women going out to offer Jumu`ah and Funeral Prayers

Q: Is it permissible for women to offer Jumu`ah (Friday) and Funeral Prayers in Masjids as they do in the Haram (Holy Masjid)?


A: It is permissible for Muslim women to offer Salah (Prayer) in Masjids provided that they look decent (Part No. 17; Page No. 227) and are not wearing adornments or perfume. Moreover, they have to offer Salah behind, not in front of nor in the same rows with, men. Furthermore, it is permissible for them to offer funeral prayers at Masjids equally like men. However, it is impermissible for them to visit graves as proved by authentic Hadiths. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
